From the first time I read the book &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;Ball Four&lt;/span&gt; in the '80s, I thought about putting together a baseball card collection of every player mentioned in the book. A couple of times I even started making a list of all the players. Let me tell you, there are a LOT of players mentioned in there. I can probably find one of those half-finished lists if I dig around my files a little. I'm going to give it another go and share my findings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll post each player in the order they appear in the book and include a list of the contemporary baseball cards they appeared on (if any). Front office types like Marvin Milkes will get mentioned in a seperate post every so often. There's no timetable on this project, so enjoy the leisurely ride.
